Gospel. Repentance. Faith.
I’ve got good news and I’ve got to share it with you!
This week God opened the door to talk with four people who professed repentance and faith in the gospel!
One salvation conversation is something to praise the Lord for. But four in the last seven days?! This is a time to invite everyone to magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together!
God is seeking and saving souls.
He is sending us to do the work of telling them three simple words: Gospel. Repentance. Faith.
As more people come to an accurate understanding of these three words, God is opening their eyes to see the glory of the gospel of Jesus and granting them the response of turning from their sin to trust in him.
Last Sunday after church I talked with a woman who had just gone through Pastor Mike’s workbook “Exploring the Gospel.” This helped her see not only what repentance and faith were but that she had not done them yet. She asked God to respond the right way right then and there.
On Wednesday I met up with a young man for a conversation at Starbucks. He has been attending our church for a few weeks and listening to the sermons. He confessed he felt powerless when it came to the sin in his life. I explained to him the power of the gospel, how according to Romans 6:3-4 we can be placed into the death and resurrection of Christ himself. The gospel goes from something that happened in history to something that happens to us! He prayed for new life!
On Friday I talked with an elderly man who had been convicted by our sermon from Sunday. He was asked, “What would happen if you were to die today?” This man admitted he did not know the answer. In fact, even though he has been going to church for a while he had never been convicted of his sin until recently when he heard clear teaching on the gospel, repentance and faith. Now he is calling on the name of the Lord to be saved!
On Saturdays we have a time of evangelism training at 9:00 AM before we go out evangelizing with our ice cream truck on the streets at 10:00 AM. This Saturday we spent our training time talking about the importance of preaching repentance. We talked about what verses we would use to explain repentance as a turn from the practice of sinning to God’s new way of righteousness. As we were talking, someone at our evangelism training realized he had never repented of his sin. Needless to say, I didn’t even have to leave the church to go evangelizing!
If I told you I talked with four different people in one week about repentance and faith in the gospel, you might think I was at a camp or a conference. But this is what God did last week at our church.
May God use us to follow the example of Jesus and proclaim the message that all people everywhere need to hear:
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” ~ Jesus in Mark 1:15
Today we begin another week at our church. I can’t wait to see what God is going to do next!

SO INCREDIBLE! God continues to exceded expectations. This really spurs me on to KEEP praying for God to save. So awesome to read about how God is working, what a great thing we belong too that not even the gates of hell can prevail against it. Love being on team Jesus!
I’d just like to pass on another way to help spread the gospel and it’s simply this:-
Include a link to an online gospel tract (e.g. http://www.freecartoontract.com/animation) as part of your email signature.
An email signature is a piece of customizable HTML or text that most email applications will allow you to add to all your outgoing emails. For example, it commonly contains name and contact details – but it could also (of course) contain a link to a gospel tract.
For example, it might say something like, “p.s. you might like this gospel cartoon …” or “p.s. have you seen this?”.
Love your truck! Please put me in touch with someone who can either
1) sell me a truck like this or
2) customize a truck if I find one.
Preferably a believer who will give us fair prices. I live in Chicago area, and am aching to get the Gospel out to the street in multiple-nation , Muslim populated Albany Park. We’ve used a push cart, and a trailer, now wanting to kick it up a notch.

Hello Bob! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. The problem is we don’t really have any connections to more ice cream trucks… It took lots of work to get the one we have… Some of our guys drove out to Arizona to buy it after searching the internet… We had a mechanic who went to our old church who fixed it up… Through the friend of a friend we found someone who would wrap the truck with our church logo… It cost us hard work, time and money… but praise the Lord we have been able to hand out free ice cream to many people in our community along with telling some the gospel and inviting others to church. We even now have people as part of our church family who have testimonies of getting saved and it started as they interacted with the ice cream truck! All glory to God! So I wish I knew how to help you get an ice cream truck there in Chicago… Sorry I can’t be of more help!
